D.R. Horton’s Lakepointe Townhomes (on the former Seminary Campus) Request for an Economic Incentive - The Community Development Department, in coordination with the Village Manager’s Office, the Public Works Department, Legal Counsel, TIF Consultants, and the Finance Department, has been working with D.R. Horton, the private developer under contract to purchase the former Seminary Campus, on a potential economic incentive to support the redevelopment of the property. Staff are recommending the use of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) incentive to facilitate the large-scale townhome project, which also includes the construction of new public parks and open space.
